Metro features Inksters online property marketing strategy
04 February 2015
Today the Metro featured Inksters online property marketing strategy.
In a Metro Moves article entitled 'The Searchers' reporter Andrea Dean explained that the vast majority of property searches now begin online.
She pointed out that in Scotland you might want to look at the GSPC for west central Scotland or ESPC for east central Scotland. But as these sites are for solicitor estate agent member firms they will not include all estate agents.
So house hunters may also want to look at the big nationwide property portals. Until recently that meant Rightmove and Zoopla. But since last week there is also OnTheMarket.com. Andrea Dean points out that the launch of this new kid on the block "has thrown a spanner in the works as member agents are only permitted to advertise on one of the other major portals. GSPC has switched from Zoopla to On The Market, though it's up to individual agents whether they advertise with another as well."
The Metro article goes on to point out that Inksters, a GSPC member firm, has retained Zoopla in addition to now also listing properties for sale at On The Market. Many other GSPC member firms have simply switched from Zoopla to On The Market.
The Metro article quotes Brian Inkster as saying:-
"This provides continuity for clients and I'm giving them something extra with listings On The Market too".
The article continues:-
"Online enquiries are coming in via both portals - one example is a two-bed terraced house in Glasgow's Maryhill, attracting interest since it went to a fixed price of £105,000 last week".
