Land Reform Review Group call for responses closes
11 January 2013
The Land Reform Review is an independent review group establised by the Scottish Government in order to further develop land reform in Scotland.
The Scottish Government have stated that the group will identify, amongst other things, how land reform can enable more people in rural and urban Scotland to have a stake in the ownership, governance, management and use of land, to, assist with the acquisition and management of land and to generate, support, promote, and deliver new relationships between land, people, economy and environment in Scotland. The group will take into account sustainability, good stewardship, and national and local relations.
As part of this process, a consultation was opened enabling stakeholders to share their own views on how best to proceed with land reform. The deadline for submissions closed on the 11th January 2013.
Both Brian Inkster and Eilidh Ross have contributed submissions containing their own perspectives on what may be beneficial for future land reform. You can read what they had to say by following the links below.
